James Milton Walton of Pine Bluff died Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born August 16, 1922 in Pine Bluff. He was the son of the late George and Leota Callicott Walton. He graduated from high school and Business College in Tyler, Texas, went to work for Cotton Belt Railroad at age 17 and retired as Assistant Superintendent in 1982 after 42 years of service. He served in World War II as a fighter pilot in England, France, Belgium and Germany and was discharged in October 1945. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and 510th Fighter Squadron Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Loraine Walton, whom he married February 19, 1948, two brothers, George Edward Walton and Connie Mack Walton. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Walton Anderson and husband Kris, three granddaughters, Kari Loraine Anderson, Erika Anderson Easley and husband Ryan, and Kristina Michelle Anderson. He had one great-grandson, Anderson Ryan Easley. A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Bellwood Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Ark.
