Irene Franks

Irene Franks, 96, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 23, 2014. She was born on Tuscaloosa, Alabama on May 8, 1918 to Mary Jane Dowdle and Andrew Jackson Dowdle. She was a member of The Summit Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas since its founding. She was also a Licensed Practical Nurse, retired from St. Vincent Infirmary. She blessed so many with her constant caring spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter, Sue Corley Barron, and one grandson, Barry Glen Corley. Survivors include one daughter, Liz Reeves (Ed); four grandchildren; Lori Hart (Rusty), Kenda White (Mark), John Corley, and Buddy Corley (Laura); nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501) 224-8300. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
