R. E. "Bud" Cannon

R.E. "Bud" Cannon, 91, formerly of Monette passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Lynnda Cannon; son, Dr. Robert "David" Cannon (Patti) of Springdale; daughters, Melinda Bennett of Monette, Diane Jeu of Fairhope, Alabama and Learon Gambill of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Kristen Mangrum (Wayne) of Jonesboro, Jon Jeu (Robin) of Conway, Spencer Jeu (Brittany) of Jonesboro, Casey Rackley (Chase) of Little Rock, Kelsey Qualls of Fayetteville, Callie Cannon and Evie Cannon of Springdale; four great-grandchildren, Allie Mangrum, Austin Jeu, Jilliyn Jeu and Abby Jeu. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Patricia Dudley Cannon; two sons-in-law, George Bennett and Mike Jeu. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Monette First United Methodist Church with Revs. Jerry Reed and Gary Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Lasting memorials may be sent to Monette First United Methodist Church.
