David Christian Walters

David Christian Walters of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 3, 1968 at Hot Springs, Arkansas, the son of David H. and Sammye Caplinger Walters. He passed from this life Tuesday, April 28 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock after a tough two-year battle with cancer. He was 46 years old. David was a christian. After graduation from Hampton High School in 1986 and three years at the U of A, he went to work as an auto body painter in the Fayetteville/Springdale area. In 2009, at the age of 40, David quit his job and went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. After graduation, he was employed by Baptist Medical System…a job he truly loved. Survivors include his parents, David H. (Dave) and Sammye Walters of Sheridan; two sons, Tyler and Nicholas Walters of Conway; an uncle and aunt, Randy and Karen Caplinger of Rowlett, Texas; cousins Tiffany and Justin Caplinger; and a number of beloved friends. David was preceded in death by his only brother, Matthew C. Walters. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. A private burial will be held with family at Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service. Visitation: 3-4 p.m. Thursday preceding the funeral.
