Lorea "Rea" Sherwood Williams

Lorea "Rea" Sherwood Williams died December 12, 2015. She was born in Stuttgart, Ark., on March 25, 1919 to B. Frank and Sophia Busch Sherwood, the youngest of 10 children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, V. H. "Bill" Williams; her parents; brothers Asa, Lloyd, Walter, Ervin and Clarence; sisters Vera Sheeks, Edith Stratton, Anna Allen and Lucille Senning; nephew Ray Stratton; nieces Velma Koester, Dorothy Greene and Sandra Shumate. She is survived by her nephews Charles Sherwood and wife Linda of Little Rock, Ark., Gary Sherwood of Lafayette, La.; nieces Joyce Massengill of Little Rock, Ark., Ginnie Musser of Melbourne, Fla., Shirley Allen and Jean Marie (Rob) Tuttle of Austin, Texas, Aceine Allen and Charlotte (Marlin) Rodemeyer of Moline, Ill.; Norma Hatcher and Kay Romanelli of Denver, Colo., and Barbara Francescon of Milwaukie, Ore. Lorea worked at Arkansas Employment Security Division for 38 years before retiring in 1984. She was a faithful member of The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Little Rock, and an enthusiastic supporter of the church's Food Pantry. Visitation will be Wednesday December 16, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.., followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 1500 N. Mississippi, Little Rock, Ark. 72207. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Food Pantry.
