Patricia James Michael

Patricia James Michael, 78, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Michael was born July 12, 1937, in Lake City, Ark., the daughter of the late Edward Jesse and Beatrice Culbertson James. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1940 from Jonesboro. She was reared and received her early education in Dollarway. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1955. She married David R. Michael on August 13, 1955, in Greenville, Miss. Mrs. Michael worked for the family business, Michael Motor Company, for 47 years. A very devout woman of the Christian faith, Mrs. Michael was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church, where she was in the Lydia Sunday School Class. She really enjoyed traveling with the Simmons Classic Club. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and granddogs! She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David R. Michael; a son, David R. Michael, Jr. and his wife Kay, of Little Rock; daughters, Jamie Lynne Murphy of Little Rock and Sandra Lee Bitely and her husband Mark of Pine Bluff; five wonderful grandchildren, Mallory Ann Blue and her husband Adam of Prairie Village, Kan., Colton Michael Bitely of Little Rock, Steven Murphy of Little Rock, Sarah Michael and Jacob Michael, both of Little Rock. Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Wayne James. There will be a visitation Tuesday, December 15, 2015, from 1 pm to 2 pm, at Robinson's. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Todd Howard and Dr. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
