Donald Edward Elbert

Donald Edward Elbert age 79, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed on December 16, 2015. Born February 4, 1936 in Elyria, Ohio Mr. Elbert was the son of Anthony J. and Nola L. Elbert, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Ann Young. He is survived by his wife, Julia Ann, one son, Donald A. Elbert of Searcy Arkansas and one daughter, Karen Langley of Searcy Arkansas; A brother, Clifford Elbert of Elyria, Ohio; and a sister, Eleanore Baun of McMinnville, Oregon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an Army veteran, a 1995 Honor Graduate of Central Baptist College, Conway Arkansas and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Greenbrier Arkansas. He retired from General Industries Co, Bald Knob Arkansas in 1990 after 34 years of employment. He first transferred to the Bald Knob plant in 1958 and served in various capacities including plant manager, manager of Assembly Arkansas plants, and 10 years of Vice President of manufacturing for the Electrical Components Division. Service will be conducted by his pastor Brother Tony Crocker, Brother Gaylon King and Brother Mike Cantrell. Service will be held at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier Arkansas with burial following at Springhill cemetery on Saturday December 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas, on Friday December 18, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Online Guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/Greenbrier.
