Dora Mae Babb

Dora Mae Babb, 82, of Pleasant Plains, died February 1, 2015 at her home. Born in Pleasant Plains, she was the daughter of Alfred Lee and Esta Mae (Gilbert) Martin. A lifelong resident of Arkansas, she worked as a homemaker, farmer's wife and employee of White County Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith who loved her family dearly and her Lord. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who also cared for many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie Babb; sister, Fannie Petree; brothers, Vernon, Marion and Harvey Martin. Survivors are a son; Jerry Babb (Darlene) of Pleasant Plains; daughter, Debbie Wheeler (Grayling) of Searcy; grandsons, James Babb (Suzanne), Mason Babb (Karissa) and Gregg Wheeler; step-grandsons, Clay Marsh (Crystal) and Clint Marsh (Kim); seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
