Bro. Charles Mitchell Jr., of Little Rock, was born April 26, 1949 to the late Charles Mitchell Sr. and Olevia Mitchell in Eudora, Arkansas. In 1960, he professed hope in Christ. He graduated from East High School and joined the United States Army in 1968, where he proudly served his country. After his military discharge, Bro. Mitchell worked as a foreman at McDonald Douglas in St. Louis, Mo. On November 26, 1986, Bro. Mitchell united in holy matrimony to Shirley Burse of Gillett, Arkansas; to this union in 1998, five beautiful children were adopted. Upon moving to Cabot, Ark, he joined Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, where he worked diligently to ensure the completion of the church's school; Bro. Mitchell continued to serve as a faithful member until his health failed. Bro. Mitchell was an outdoorsman, as he thoroughly enjoyed gardening, fishing and farm animals. Love-ones hold fond memories of him wearing his overalls and hat, saying, "Hear me and hear me good!" He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, and a wonderful provider for his family.
