Bertha LaNelle Siegman

Bertha LaNelle Siegman, 84, was born November 10, 1930 and died February 3, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Joe Vick, grandchildren, William Vick and wife Laura, Page Vick, Stephanie Woods, Scott Siegman III, niece and nephew, Cheryl Ceeley and James Hollis and her special family Donna, John, and Andrew McCarty and Lauren and Matt Horak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scott Siegman, son, Henry Scott Siegman II, parents, William and Stella Johnson, and sister, Corrine Sterling. LaNelle was employed as the secretary for the First Baptist Church of North Little Rock for over 20 years. As a member of the First Baptist Church of North Little Rock, she was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir and was famous for her coconut and chocolate pie. She lived her life with her family in Little Rock, El Dorado, Lake Charles, La., New Orleans, La. and North Little Rock, respectively. In the last years of her life, she lived at Valley Ranch Nursing Home in west Little Rock where she was taken care of by many sweet people and friends, including her dear roommate, Donna Greene. Our family would like to thank all of the doctors and staff of CCU and 2 North West at St. Vincent Hospital and at Valley Ranch for their kind treatment and exemplary care of our loved one. A memorial service will be held at Little Rock National Cemetery on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., officiated by LaNelle's long time pastor, boss, and friend, Dr. Timothy Deahl.
