Johnny Lee Whitlock of Parkin, Ark. passed away at his home on February 5, 2015. He was 79 years old, born in New Albany, Miss. on September 9, 1935 to the late Jim and Annie Mae Whitlock. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Whitlock of 31 years; two daughters, LeAnn Metheny of Springdale, Ark. and Kristi Sewell and her husband Gary Sewell of El Dorado, Ark.; two sons, Robert Broughton and Bruce Broughton and his wife Karen Broughton both of McCrory, Ark.; three grandchildren, Whitney Matney and her husband Chris Matney of Springdale Ark., Sandra Nicole Whatley of McCrory, Ark., and Houston Broughton of Jonesboro, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Raylee Matney of Springdale, Ark., and Keaton Whatley of McCrory, Ark.; and a sister, JoAnn Keenum of Kilmichael, Miss. Johnny was a faithful member and a current member on the board of Trustees of the First Baptist Church in Parkin, Ark. He was a retired water manager for the City of Parkin and Parkin Rural Water, a retired Fire Chief of Parkin, Ark., a past president of East Arkansas Water District, and a previous Arkansas Water Manager of the year. Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Parkin, Ark., with services to follow on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1 pm at First Baptist Church, Parkin, Ark.
