Noel Richard Ward Sr.

NOEL RICHARD WARD SR., 69, of Jacksonville passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5. He was born on Dec. 26, 1945 in Brinkley, Ark. to the late Earl and Lucille Ward. He is also preceded in death by his stepmother, Lillian Ward and his oldest grandson, Christopher Pruett. Mr. Ward was a family man who spent his free time going to auctions and yard sales. Noel retired after many years of service as a machinist with Cooper Cameron. He enjoyed working with his tractors and planting his garden. He was always proud of his "Knockout Roses" and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Noel is survived by his wife Sharron Ward; children, Noel Richard Ward Jr. and wife, Sherry, Gena Karen Hubbard and husband, Gary, Jason Alan Ward and wife, Misty; step-daughters, Karen Butler, Audra Ferrell and husband, James; grandchildren, Nacole Brown, Brittany Porter, Joshua Pruett, Shyeann Ward, Timmy Ward and Hayden Ward; brothers, David Ward and Ben Ward; sisters, Peggy Watlington, Earlene Davis and Martha Ford, as well as other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, with Bro. David Ward officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 4 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
