Peggy Lois Gordon Lindsey

Peggy Lois Gordon Lindsey, 84, of Little Rock, formerly of Springdale, died Thursday, February 12 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. She was born November 29, 1930 in Marshall, Texas to the late Coleman Sanders and Lois Ruth Rainey Gordon. Peggy graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) in 1952 with a BSE degree in Home Economics. She taught many students invaluable life skills in Lake Village and in Springdale. Peggy was a devoted member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale, including serving as chair of the Building Committee. Her husband, Charles Warren Lindsey, preceded her in death. Survivors include three children, Gordon Lindsey and wife, Beth, of Spring, Texas, Carolyn Lindsey Polk and husband, Tommy, of Little Rock, Mendy Emmerling and husband, Mark, of Maumelle; sister, Dr. Pat Gordon and partner, Dr. Betty Robinson of London, Ark.; and eight grandchildren, Heather Haney (Jarrod), Tyler Lindsey (Mallory), Christopher Emmerling, Madeleine Polk, Addison Lindsey, Blaise Lindsey, Laiken Lindsey and Taylor Larson. Her children and grandchildren were of utmost importance to her and she attended as many of their events and activities as possible always giving them her complete, unquestionable support. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Rev. Pamela Morgan officiating.
