SMSgt. Robert L. Glanton U.S.A.F. (ret.) , 80, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center, North Little Rock. Mr. Glanton retired after 28 years of service in the United States Air Force, he was a flight engineer superintendent, he earned the distinguished flying cross, air medal with 1 silver oak leaf cluster and two bronze oak leaf clusters among numerous other awards. Mr. Glanton was preceded in death by his parents: Robert F. and Vennie C. Glanton, two brothers: Herman P. and Mack O' Glanton, and a sister: Eva M. Mayes. He is survived of his wife of 28 years, Ok Soon Yim. Other survivors include his children: Kelly Thompson (Tim), Easley, S.C., Tracy Brooks (Andy), Warren, Ohio, Michele Ann Miles (Dwayne), Summerville, S.C., Walter Anthony "Tony" Glanton, Goose Creek, S.C., Susan Glanton Wilson, Summerville, S.C., Robert Glanton (Tara), Lawrence, Kan.; grandchildren: Michael Gebhard, Stacey McGrath, Curtis and Jeremy Miles, Lindi Glanton, Jacob and Ashley Wilson, Tanner and Hunter Glanton, and one great-grandchild: Kierstan Pakulmewicz. He is also survived by two sisters: Pauline Mitchell of Breckenridge, Texas, Bobbie Walker of Mineral Wells, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
