Rev. James A Edwards

Rev. James A. Edwards, 85, of Greers Ferry, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at his home. He was born October 17, 1929, in Augusta, to Raymond Edgar and Mildred Lee Jennings Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Sue Brock Edwards and a brother, Harold Edwards. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Renetta Edwards of Goshen, Jim Edwards of North Port, Florida, Ronnie and Vickie Edwards of Wichita Falls, Texas, Gary and Metza Edwards of Greers Ferry; one daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Mike Knight of Conway; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Rest Haven Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Randall Beaty, and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will conduct a celebration of life service at 11 a.m., on April 25, 2015 at the Searcy Church of the Nazarene.
