Tommy Jackson

Tommy Jackson, 72, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, at his home in Cabot. He was born to the late J.T. and Bernice Jackson on July 28, 1942, in Des Arc, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Ann Jackson; his son, Jon Aaron Jackson and granddaughter, Ella Gray Jackson of Stuttgart; two brothers, Jimmy Don and Nancy Jackson of Searcy, and Steve and Linda Jackson of Searcy; other family, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. "Popsie" was a loyal husband, father and friend who liked spending time with those he loved, especially his granddaughter, Ella Gray. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting duck and deer, fishing, travel and playing golf. He officiated football games for years across the state and retired from the ag business industry. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2015, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas, with The Rev. Darrell L. "Dee" Stayton and Rev. Carol Grace officiating. Honorary Pallbearers include Mickey Pierce, Doug Freeze, Freddie Ligon, Jay Coker, Todd Hartley, Alex Maynard, John Moss and Matt Watts. Memorial contributions may be made to 16th Section UMC in Austin, Ark.; St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Stuttgart, Ark.; or the charity of choice. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
