Charles Maynard Hanson, 83, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was born March 8, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Hanson; step-mother, Denise Hanson; infant son, Paul Hanson; and brother, J. C. Hanson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Anne Hanson; son, Mike Hanson (Karen); daughters, Lisa Mantle (Eric) and Lynn Enderlin; grandchildren: Caroline Hugg, Charles Hanson, Elizabeth Hanson, Laura Hanson, Thomas Hanson, Ashley Enderlin, Stephen Enderlin, Elliot Enderlin, and Clare Enderlin; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Charlotte Hugg; and two nieces, Denise Lipin and Janet Rossi. A graduate of Little Rock Catholic High, he attended Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was a certified public accountant at Russell, Brown, and Company; Arthur Young; and retired with Ernst and Young. After retiring, he worked part-time at Arkansas State Employees Association and the Cathedral of St. Andrew. He enjoyed vacationing with his family, fishing, hunting, golf, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and supported Pfeifer Camp. Charles was the recipient of the George F. Hixon Award for outstanding service. The family wants to thank Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation, Gentiva Hospice, and North Metro Hospital of Jacksonville for loving dad and our family. To dad's dear friends who visited him regularly for over 5 years…thank you.
