Alfred Leon Hobby, 71 of Benton, passed away June 1, 2015. He was born June 30, 1943 in San Francisco, California to the late Thelmer and Zella Tucker Hobby. Alfred was a member of the Otter Creek Assembly of God and the V.F.W. of Hot Springs. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Alfred worked for Reynolds Metals Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lawrence J. Hobby and Gary Hobby, sisters, Hazel Martin and Eva Jean Gehring. Alfred is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Catherine Turner Hobby of Benton, sons, David Hobby of Lonsdale, Nathan Hobby of Benton, daughters, Sheryl McGuire of St. Louis, Missouri, Cynthia George of Florida, Pamela Pritchett of Benton, brother, Phillip Hobby of Sardis, numerous nieces and nephew, six grandchildren. Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Thursday with Bro. Bobby Minick and Bro. John Tracy officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.
