Lyle Eugene Sanders, 77, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. Born in Grant County, October 19, 1937, he was referred to as "Buster" by his sisters and was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend and will be forever missed. Lyle was preceded in death by his wife Julia Ann Sanders, mother Juanita Leona West Sanders, father Arthur Eugene Sanders, brother, Glen Arthur Sanders, and grandson, Cory Nathan Dill. He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Clark, Wanda Sanders, Mary McLaury, Janis Fields and her husband, Albert Fields; his sons Brian Dill Sr. and his wife Johnnie Dill, Glenn Dill and his wife, Lisa Dill; grandchildren, Brian Dill Jr., Matthew Dill, and Kristen Dill; and great-grandchild, Julia Dill. CMSGT Lyle Eugene Sanders (Ret.) served in the Arkansas Air National Guard for 35 years in the 189th Tactical Airlift Group out of the LRAFB as an Aircraft Instrument Foreman until later becoming Supervisor of Maintance Control. He was an active member of the Civil Air Patrol and prior to his military service, Mr. Sanders also served as an officer of the North Little Rock Police Department. In lieu of sending flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Arkansas Food Bank in honor of Mr. Sanders. Memorial service will be held at the Griffin-Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander, Arkansas on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. Followed by a private graveside service.
