WILLIE B. MOSS-JOHNSON, 84, of Little Rock, passed away Feb. 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Aug. 2, 1930 to her late parents, Hosie V. and Odia Stewart. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Hosie V. Stewart Jr and Archie Stewart Sr; two sisters, Lurean Johnson and Pearlina Foster; two daughters, Vanessa Bell and Valdina Bennett; one grandson, Keelan Moss; and one daughter-in-law, Diane Burr. At an early age she confessed her hope in Christ at First Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. Willie was a faithful member of the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church for many years. She became a member of Second Baptist Church in 1967 which later became Greater Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Curtis Rideout until his death and currently under the leadership of Rev. David Featherstone. She served as a faithful member until her death. Willie gave many years of dedicated service as a registered nurse from 1952 until 1965. She also worked at Timex Corporation from 1965 to 1974. She worked at the State Revenue Office as a supervisor from 1974 and retired in 1995. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, quilting, and crocheting as well as reading novels. She was a member of a bowling league for many years where she received many trophies. Willie visited nursing homes and was a member of the Outreach team. She was also a member of the singing group, the Evangelistic Voices, around 1975. Willie was a woman of virtue who was always willing to share herself with others. She is survived by four daughters, Valerie (Bobby) Banks of Lonoke, Veronica (Michael) Bingham of Little Rock, Velda Walker of Gainesville, Fla., Velma Moss of Houston, Texas; two sons, Dwight Burr of Nashville, Tenn. and Don (Brenda) Bell of Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister, Cleo Zinamon of Atlanta, Ga.; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Willie is also survived by two special friends, Mrs. Fannie Harris and Mrs. Betty McAlister. Visitation: Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary, LR.
