EARL C. BROWN, SR., 87, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on Nov. 13, 2015. He was the first born to Forest Brown, Sr. and Maybell Thornton Brown on June 22, 1928. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Alma L. Wimberly Brown, his parents, and his sister, Laura Brown Burton. Left to cherish his memory are seven childreN: Leotis E. (Rhonda) Brown of Oakland, Calif., Gwendolyn L. (Paul) Bradford, Betty J. Brown, Glen E. (Demetra) Brown, Carolyn A. Brown, Marilyn L. Robinson, all of Little Rock, and Earl C. (Altha Renee) Brown, Jr. of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren, Robyn N. Robinson and Antoine D. Townsend; siblings: three brothers, Forest Brown, Jr., Carl Brown, and Otis Brown, Sr., all of Little Rock.; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He retired from Arkla Gas in 1985 as a line crew supervisor. He was a veteran of the Korean War. His favorite past times included reading the Bible, playing the piano, and spending time with his family. His favorite scripture from KJV is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path". Special thanks to Bryan Salley for all the loving kindness he showed our dad. A private family viewing was held. His graveside service with honors will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Blvd, Little Rock, Ark.
