Jo Ann Milam Keener, 52, left her earthly home for her heavenly one on Nov. 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; Homer D. Milam and Clair B. Martin Milam. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Marvin L. Keener, three daughters; Crystal Hilliard-Ridings (Phillip), Tasha Lee Cuxulic Yon (Bartolo) and Stephanie Keener, three sons; Travis Keener (Carissa), Marvin (JR) Keener (Nicole) and Caleb Keener (Paxton), three sisters; Becky Hall (Mel), Tommie Wise (Gary), and Jewell Mathis, three brothers; Don Milam (Vera), Leroy Milam (Ina) and Larry Milam (Bonnie), 12 grandchildren, with one more on the way, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Jo Ann worked for Wendy's for many years and was a Shift Manager when she became ill. She held on to her keys for many months hoping she'd be able to return to work. She loved her family and her church family dearly and was happy to be going to a better place. She loved Christian concerts, camping, fishing and riding on the motorcycle with Marvin. Some of her greatest joys came from taking care of her children and grandchildren, gardening, and reading, but NASCAR and Razorback football were real passions. Everyone who knew Jo Ann knew how hard she had worked in her life. How fragile a life is and how fleeting. We're born and then, in the blink of an eye we are gone. The lucky among us leave an indelible mark on this earth, we have family and friends who love us completely and mourn our passing deeply. We leave a legacy of love, laughter, compassion, strength, grace and faith that is so overwhelmingly strong that all who knew us will remember us and continue to talk of us long after we leave our earthly life. Our name will be spoken with reverence and adoration. Such is the life of Jo Ann. She lived a life to be proud of in the end and has earned her heavenly reward. Now she walks the streets of gold, healthy and whole again, living the eternal life she so justly deserves. Leaving a multitude of us, her family and friends to mourn her loss but to also rejoice in her new eternal heavenly home. So, when you look up into the heavens, into the brilliant night sky with its millions of bright stars, you'll be looking at the porch lights that led our precious Jo Ann home. Service will be Monday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation on Sunday, November 15, 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
