Ezra Lee Hobbs

Ezra Lee Hobbs, 85, of Rogers died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Rector, Ark. the son of Emma and Oscar Hobbs. He earned his Honorable Discharge serving with the United States Army. He served in the Korean Conflict where he served as a line man in the 1st Calvary. He was injured and received the Purple Heart for his injury. He was a member of the American Legion. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for six months, after moving from Greenbrier, Ark. Previous to Greenbrier he lived most of his life in Rector, Ark. He was preceded in death by: one son; Jason Hobbs, his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Ezra is survived by: two sons; Nick Hobbs and his wife Barb, of Rogers, Shayne Hobbs and his wife Jennifer, of Wooster, one step-daughter; Cheri Shelton, of Paragould, two step-sons; Randy Joiner and his wife Maxine, of Southaven, Miss., Jerry Joiner, of Marmaduke, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Rector, Ark. Memorials may be sent to: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
