Lillian Mae (Maw Maw) Griffith, 102 years old, of Little Rock passed into the arms of Jesus Saturday, September 26th surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1913 to Louis and Laura Miller. She went to work for Tuf-Nut in 1939 and later worked for L.B. Price Mercantile. She and her husband opened a MFA Insurance office in 1960 and she worked alongside him running the office. During their years with the agency, they were awarded several conference trips, in and out of the country. She was a wonderful wife to husband, Clayton, for 67 years, mother to twin sons, Herbert Wayne and Robert Blaine, homemaker and cook. She loved to travel, quilt and garden. She was known for recycling before it was popular. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Maw Maw lived an exemplary life with strong faith and love for her Lord and family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Husband, sons, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by grandchildren, Mike Griffith, Jan Parsons (Robert), Vicki Green (Steve), Phyllis Lucas (Dane), Danny Griffith, Sherry Stephens (Steele), 11 great grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, seven step-great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Mary Bumpus and Letha Griffith, who was also a special caregiver. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepard Nursing Home for taking such good care of Maw Maw. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 30th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock with Reverend Roy Matlock officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 17202 Arch St., Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
