Jo Anne (Molly) Somers

Jo Anne Somers (Molly), of Heber Springs, Ark. was born July 23, 1958 in Culpeper, Va. to the late Claude Somers & Charlotte Shifflett. She was a bartender at the VFW Post 3543 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary where she made many lifelong friends. It didn't matter to her who a person was, rich or poor, she treated them all with respect and friendship. She loved her family & friends and her little pup Momo. She had a generous heart, and would go to any lengths possible to help someone in need. Miss Molly died Saturday August 13, 2016, at the age of 58. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Grinstead. Survivors; daughter, Charlotte (Mike) Chandler of Greenbrier, Ark.; daughter, Christina (Bobby) Horton of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Jacob, Kayli, Skylar, Brooke, Natalie, Alex, Brittany, Amber, Ayden, Carson, Brysen, and Hunter; brother, Charlie (Michelle) Grinstead; brother, Claude Somers Jr; sister, Shirley Bookamer; sister, Brenda Porter; and many extended family. In lieu of a funeral or memorial service she requested that her family and friends celebrate her life by having a meal and talk of all the good times they had together and to rejoice in her life. She wanted us to say: do not be sad and no tears for she will see them again in heaven. Monetary donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen cancer foundation in her name if you so wish to donate.
