Rosetta M. Calvert

Rosetta Mowrey Calvert, 82, of Little Rock, was promoted from this world to serve King Jesus face to face on August 13, 2016. She joins her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas E. (Gene) Calvert who recently passed on June 25, 2016. Born June 27, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. H.L. and Ethel Mowrey, one sister, Freda Davis, one brother, Sonny Mowrey. She leaves behind her precious sister, Chloe Ann Brucks, and her children, Robert and Nancy Calvert of Little Rock, Jamie Calvert of Little Rock, Cynthia and Ron Trosclair of Rockwall, Texas, nine grandchildren (Christine, Taylor, Abigail, Hayes, Jahan, Robert, Corbin, Zachary and Bayley), five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Rosetta was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church, the church her parents founded 83 years ago. She retired after 30 years of service at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Rosetta was a gracious, hospitable follower of Jesus, faithful wife, a loving mother and an adored Meemaw. She will be deeply missed by many. Rosetta's "homegoing" celebration will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Crystal Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Ballard will be officiating, followed by a burial at Crystal Hill Cemetery.
