Joann Huff Carter

Joann Huff Carter, 79, of Little Rock, passed away December 15, 2016 with her family by her side. Born in Memphis, Tennessee to Ruby A. and Ruby Sampley Huff, she was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Forrest City High School in 1954. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carroll Huff, she is survived by her sons, Ken Carter (Jennifer) of Allen, Texas, Kevin Carter (Anita) of Haskell, Arkansas and Marty Carter (Patricia) of Little Rock; brother, Bill Huff (Diane) of Arvada, Colorado; sister, Dorothy Lavallee of Oxford, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren, Kenny, Cheryl, Jason, Wyatt, Weston, Christopher, Nathan, Amy and Rachael; and eight great-grandchildren. She was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. The joys of her life were her three sons and their families. She was known for her steadfast love, honesty, and compassion for others. She worked as a receptionist at Presbyterian Village Retirement Center in Little Rock for 22 years. Services will be held on Monday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
