Billy George Hill

Billy George Hill, 80, of Jefferson, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Born January 15, 1936 at DeWitt, he was a son of the late George Hill and Lula Burris Hill. A United States Army Korean War veteran, Mr. Hill was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge 160. He drove tractor trailers for 31 years for Central Transport, Superior Forwarding and retiring from Yellow Freight. He enjoyed his cows, spoiling his grandchildren and helping others. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia "Jean" Grice Hill; and brothers, Robert, Steve and Carroll "Joker" Hill. Mr. Hill is survived by his daughters, Renee Hunthrop (Chris) and Dianne Doss (Donnie); grandchildren, Ray Doss (Leslie), Ryan Doss (Ann), and Cameron Hunthrop; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Andy, Peyton, Presley, and many other loving family and friends. Services will be Friday, 2 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother M.L. Faler and Brother John Smith Officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from one until service time. The family will be at the home of Dianne & Donnie Doss at other times.
