Lloyd Craighead Sr.

Elder Lloyd E. Craighead Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas received his blessing of immortality on February 2, 2016 in his 68 seasons of life. Those awaiting his arrival are his parents, Richard A. Sheppard Sr. and Roberta Craighead; sisters, Erma and Ruby Jean; and one grand-daughter, Tityana. Lloyd has always possessed a strong work ethic. He became a funeral director at the age of 11, with Ms. Smith of OT Smith Funeral Home as his mentor. He became a licensed funeral director in the mid 1980's, he offered his services throughout the state being employed with Will Acklin Funeral Home, Gunn Funeral Home, Hardy Funeral Home, and he worked until his health declined as a Licensed Funeral Director at Robinson Mortuary. Lloyd was also employed at St. Vincent Hospital for 23 years. He was an active member of the Arkansas Funeral Director and Mortician Association as well as the National Funeral Director and Mortician Association. He leaves wonderful memories with his sons, Lloyd Jr., Roderick, Tywas, and Marvin; five grandchildren, Roderick Jr "RJ", Lloyd II "LJ", Tywas Jr. "TJ", Jonanna, and Ashley; a special friend, Shanon Ann; a host of nephews, nieces, extended relatives, friends, church family and relatives who will miss his strength, smile, and love, but will never forget his spirit and compassion.
