Aubrey Lee Carroll

Aubrey Lee Carroll, age 78, of Alexander, yielded his spirit unto Christ on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Aubrey was born in Star City, Arkansas on May 31, 1937 to the late Malcolm and Hazel Carroll. He graduated from Star City High School. Aubrey was accredited by multiple state boards for professional engineers. He was proud to have passed each exam on his own accord, relying on his exceptional perception and intellect as he bypassed formal education. He successfully owned and operated Aubrey Carroll Company, bringing cable telecommunications to rural areas. Aubrey was also a proud member of the Henderson United congregation. Aubrey Lee Carroll is survived by his siblings Allene Gunter, James Carroll, Serita Gillespie, Larry Carroll, and Jan Woodall, as well as his children Sheila Poarch, Peggy McElroy, Paula Middleton, Todd Carroll, and Joshua Carroll, and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in Little Rock on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11 am at Henderson United Methodist Church located at 13000 W. Baseline Rd. Graveside service follows at 3 pm in Star City, at Butler-Pleasant Hill Cemetery, on Garnett Rd., directly across from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
