Francis Sue Talley

On her ranch outside Sherman, Texas, Francis Sue Talley passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born October 17,1929 in Springdale Arkansas Sue was 86 years old. She was survived by her husband, Jake Reeves, two sons, Cole Talley and Coy Talley and grandchildren, Laura Talley Connors, Laila Talley Kinney, Ben Talley Meagan Talley, Matthew Talley, Shae DeField and John Jacob Talley, daughter-in-law, Christina Keilson Talley and former daughters-in-law, Deb Talley and Judith Talley. Sue was the daughter of Harry Elliott Cole and Violet Jessie Cole. She graduated from Springdale High in 1947. She attended the University of Arkansas majored in education and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. There she met John Benjamin Talley and married in August 14, 1949. She graduated with a BS in Education from Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar Missouri in 1967 and taught all grades in elementary school for some 25 years. Upon retiring from teaching and after the loss of John Talley she opened a tea room called Spring Street Sampler and developed that business with Margo Robinson. It remains as Spring Street Grill. Later she would marry Jake Reaves on October 5, 1991. Funeral Services will be graveside at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale Arkansas at 1 p.m., January 15, 2016. A reception will follow at Spring Street Grill. Memorial Gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church Springdale Arkansas or to the Rise School of Austin where Meagan Talley teaches.
