Dolores Craun, 98, of Mission, Texas died peacefully at Mission Nursing & Rehab Center on January 3, 2016. Dolores was born November 28, 1917 in Angola, Ind., the daughter of Glen and Dorothy Oberlin. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Carl Craun; and two sisters, Barbara Oberlin and Glenola Sams. She was a 1935 graduate of Flint High School in Flint, Indiana. She married Carl Craun on December 25, 1938. Dolores was a member of Flint Methodist Church until 1963 when she moved with her family to Elkins, Arkansas where she became a member of the Elkins Community Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, birds, reading, playing the violin and travel. Dolores is survived by a son, Jerry Craun and wife, Carol of Lockesburg, Ark.; two daughters, Carol Tillery and husband, Mike of Elkins and Janet Couch and husband, Doug of Mission, Texas; three grandchildren, Chris Craun and wife, Jenny of Conway, Ark.; Roy Tillery and wife, Gwen of Elkins; and Casey Craun and wife, Alison of Vilonia, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at Beard's Chapel with Roy Tillery officiating. Interment will follow in McCord Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
