Grover Elbert Boyd

Grover E. Boyd (Jimmie), 93, of Cabot passed away on Friday, January 15 at 8:40 a.m. He was born on Feb. 15, 1922 in Little Rock, Ark. Jimmie served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was raised and worked on a dairy farm most of his life and co-owned Boyd’s Dairy. He attended the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for many years. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Pauline (Polly) Turley Boyd. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gaylon Boshears and his son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Catherine Boyd; granddaughter, Kim Boyd; granddaughter Tara (Nat )Peirce; grandson Randy (Callie) Boyd; grandson Boyd (Camie) Boshears and grandson Gaylon Boshears Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren and his brother, Pete Boyd. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on January 20 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
