Juanita Fern Simpson

Juanita Fern Simpson, 82, of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016. She was born September 7, 1933 in Quail, Texas to the late Vernon and Geneva Jones. Fern loved people. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a very kind hearted and extremely social person. Fern enjoyed being able to travel, and painting was one of her favorite past times. She was an active member of Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Birtus Simpson, Sr., and her sister, Faye Morris. Fern is survived by her three children: Evangeline (Willie) Stone; Arel (Nina) Simpson; and Birtus "Tinker" (Angie) Simpson, Jr.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church, 2314 Heber Springs Road North, Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas 72581.
