Robert "Danny" Merritt Jr.

ROBERT "DANNY" MERRITT JR., of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on July 28, 2016 at the age of 71. Danny is survived by his son, Daniel; his friend, Jane; his sister, Carolyn and her loving family. Danny was a very hard working and ambitious man. He formed a prosperous career by beginning his own salvage yard where he worked more than 40 years. Danny was a great family man and a loving father. He was generous, patient, and caring. Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing poker with his buddies. He also had a unique knack for making lucrative deals-he had the "golden touch." Danny spent 22 years with the love of his life, Jane Owens, who is also very caring and his best friend. His family and friends will always remember him as a positive, optimistic "trouble-maker" who enjoyed life with a smile and lived in the moment. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. with a graveside committal at Forest Hills Cemetery, Alexander, Ark.
