Dorothy Zimmermann Hinrichs

Dorothy Corrine Zimmermann Hinrichs, 92, passed away on March 8, 2016 in Rogers, Ark. She was born in her childhood home on a farm outside Little Falls, Minn. and was the oldest daughter of Henry and Lillian Zimmermann. Dorothy graduated from Little Falls High School in 1940 and went on to secretarial school. She worked in St. Paul and St. Louis before marrying on June 20, 1948. She loved crafts and gardening and was involved with teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and LWML. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale, Ark. where her husband, the Rev. Marvin F. Hinrichs, pastored for many years before his retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years; an older brother, Leo, and younger sister, Hazel. Dorothy is survived by four children, Charlotte Winters (Billy), Rachel Busch, Tim Hinrichs (Toni) and Miriam Glock (Al); two sisters, Joan Mason and Lorraine Stephenson; four grandchildren: Mike Winters, Krista Winters Jennings (James), Ernie Glock and Aaron Glock and three great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces and nephews, mainly in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Seminary Scholarship Fund. Service will be announced at a later date.
