John William Grant Sr

John William Grant Sr., 81, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. He was born April 15, 1934 to the late Eugene and Eliza Grant. He served diligently in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years, and was a dedicated employee of Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 20 years. He enjoying reading, working crossword puzzles, spending time with his grandchildren and working in his lawn. He is preceded in death by his sister, Imogene Henry (Samuel) of Victorville, Calif. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marva Christine Grant; sons, John W. Grant Jr. (Ronella) of Stuttgart, and Anthony E. Grant (Choing) of Granada Hills, Calif.; daughter, Karen A. Hayes (Charles) of Maumelle; seven beautiful grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Family Visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 5-6 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR. Graveside Service will be held with honors Monday, March 28, 2016, at 12 noon, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave., NLR, Ark.
