Sarah Marie Travis

Sarah Marie Travis, 26, passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord while asleep at home on March 21st. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Thomas Lewis Travis and Dr. Theresa Rodriguez Travis. She graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy in 2008 and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from UALR, where she was pursuing a master's of applied psychology. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending mass with her mother, travelling, watching movies with her friends and family, and generously giving herself to others, most especially to the many children she loved and who loved her in return. She was a devout Catholic, a loving daughter, a compassionate sister, a doting aunt, and a loyal friend. She will be remembered by the many lives she touched as patient, brave, and kind. She is survived by her parents, Thomas Lewis Travis and Theresa Rodriguez Travis of Little Rock, her siblings, Matthew Travis of Jacksonville, Clare (Stan) Mathis of Little Rock, and Christine Arthur of Little Rock, her niece, Eliza Mathis of Little Rock, four aunts, two uncles, and 23 cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Garth W. Travis and Ethel Rita Travis of Jacksonville, and Benigno L. Rodriguez and Frances J. Rodriguez of Little Rock. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 28th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Little Rock, with interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Rosary and then visitation will begin at 7:30 pm on Sunday, March 27th at Christ the King. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christ the King in Sarah's name.
