Rudolph Charles "Rudy" Patten

Rudolph Charles "Rudy" Patten died unexpectedly Wednesday May 11, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Fla., at the age of 44. Rudy is survived by his daughter, Erin Patten, his parents, Donald and Nancy Patten of Little Rock; his sisters, Patricia Jorwall (Joakim), Mabyn Pappas (Taki, Stavros and Augie); along with many other relatives. Rudy was born in Metairie, La., and grew up in Little Rock. He was a graduate of Parkview High School. He retired in 2015 from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Boatswain's Mate with 23 years of honorable service. A memorial service, with full military honors, is scheduled for 2 p.m., May 26, in Little Rock at Oak Forest UMC on Fair Park Boulevard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rudy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance program.
