Charles "Buddy" Cagle, 76, of Little Rock, died peacefully November 6, 2016, at Presbyterian Village. He was born August 21, 1940, to Pauline and William Cagle in Dumas, Arkansas. Buddy grew up in North Little Rock. He attended St. Patrick Grade School and Catholic High School where he excelled in academics and all sports. He received a scholarship to Arkansas Tech where he played football and baseball. He once kicked a game winning field goal and was nicknamed "Golden Toe Cagle" by his teammates. He spent most of his working career in abstracting and later retired from the Pulaski County Treasurer's Office. Buddy loved his Catholic Faith and was an altar boy in his youth. He was active in the Cursillo Movement for many years. He enjoyed traveling, camping and any time spent with his family, especially holidays and the annual family vacation to the beach in Destin, Florida. He and Kay were friends in high school and later became sweethearts. They were married for 52 years. Buddy was predeceased in death by his parents and daughter, Hollie Faulkner, brother, Harry Cagle and sister, Betty Garrison. He is survived by his wife, Kay; daughter, Carisa Hyde and husband Tim and Tim's daughters, Jessica, Krystal, and Rachel; his son, Brent Cagle and wife, Christine and son, Craig Cagle and wife Heather; son-in-law, Donnie Faulkner. Also, two very special granddaughters, Nicole Cagle and Emma Faulkner. They brought him much love and entertainment. Buddy is also survived by his uncle, Billy Cagle and wife Arlene; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Cagle clan. He considered Kay's family his own and was loved by many sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, too many to list. The family wants to thank all the staff at Presbyterian Village who treated Buddy with love and kindness. A general visitation with viewing is available Tuesday, November 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Rosary service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 6 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 9, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, Father Erik Pohlmeier as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
