Leo Jefferson Dial

Leo Jefferson Dial, 82 of Paragould went to be with Jesus Christ on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016. He was born to Clella Jane and Earl Alfred Dial on Aug. 14, 1934. He loved the Lord, his family, his church, his country and a host of friends. In the early 1950s, Leo moved to St. Louis, Mo., to work and while attending church, he met Letha Wanda Ketcherside. They married in 1956 and were married for 49 years until Wanda passed away in 2005. Leo was retired from Paragould Light Water and Cable and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Survivors include his four children, Letha Dial, Jeff (Pam) Dial of Little Rock, Ark., Debbie (Tim) Carroll and Nancy (Lance) Ritter of Paragould; eight grandchildren, Emily Gentle, Sarah Kashak, Hannah Mitchell, Rachel Shirley, Isaiah Ritter, Ethan Dial, Elijah Ritter, Jane Ellen Dial and four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Brynlee, Zoey and Jaxson and his beloved lady friend, Jenny Howard. He is also survived by brothers, Royce (Murl) Dial, J.W. (Linda) Dial, Jesse (Mary Lee) Dial and sisters, Mary (Cecil) McFall and Francis (Roy) Williams. Leo is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Bill Dial and sisters Pearl Mason, Reba Boling and Earlene Manczur. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at the East Side Baptist Church with the Reverends Phillip Miller, Dennis Scudder and Jeff Dial officiating, burial will follow in Clark's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark. Pallbearers will include: Floyd Landrum, Mitchell Clinton, Kenny Dial, Paul Manczur, Steve Manczur, Jamie Dial and Elijah Ritter. Honorary pallbearers will be all the nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to East Side Baptist Church in Paragould, AR or Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark.
