Linda Sue Davis, a loving and cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, of Little Rock, Ark. died on August 27, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. Linda was born on April 23, 1944 in Morrilton, Ark. to Wilbur Ernest and Okla Mae Jones. As the seventh of 15 children she was raised in a busy home with lots of love, no running water, and scare resources befitting a household with 17 mouths to feed. Early in life she learned to do much with little and mastered a lifelong craft of serving others with a welcoming heart and piping hot plate. After moving to Little Rock she met James (Jim) T. Davis at a soda shop in Hillcrest and they were married in September of 1962. They relocated to Conway, Ark. where Linda was a homemaker, seamstress, and wonderful mother to her son and daughter. She also loved and cared for over 40 children. Upon learning of her condition many of them contacted her and expressed heartfelt testimony to the positive impact that she had on their lives. She reserved a special place in her heart for her three grandchildren; Jamie; Gray; and Miles, each of whom she helped raise with her husband of 54 years. Linda is survived by her husband; her son, Todd (Kathy) Davis of Conway, Ark.; her daughter, Karen (Kris) Upton of Little Rock, Ark.; her three grandchildren; and seven siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings. Two visitations will be held to celebrate Mrs. Davis' life. The first will be September 2, 2016 from 10-12 noon at Fellowship Bible Church at 1401 Kirk Road in Little Rock, West entrance. The second will be September 3, 2016 from 10 -12 noon at New Life Church at 633 S. Country Club Road in Conway, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
