She was preceded in death by sons, Victor Neely, Vernon Neeley, Billy Ray Braswell, Robert Jones; dad, Willie Cox; mother, Lela Hellums; sisters, Eardie Franklin, Atherene Tolls. Essie leaves to cherish her memory with her children, Lecia R. Hunt, Kenneth Cox, Zetta Fay Jones; siblings, Eartha McCombs, Ollie Williams; 10 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
