Nadean Humphreys

Nadean Humphreys, 92, of Newport departed this life Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was born September 9, 1925 to Barney and Ollie (Woodman) McCoy and was a member of Cherokee Church of Christ. Mrs. Humphrey's along with her husband was owner of one of Newport's finest restaurants, Fred's Grill, from 1947 until 2004. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Fred Humphreys, her parents, and two sisters; Ella Williamson, and Berneva London. Her survivors are one son; Freddy Humphreys and wife Linda of Newport, one brother; Bobby McCoy of Grubbs, one sister; Virginia Odom of Newport, one granddaughter; Kendra Murphy and husband Devin of Memphis, Tennessee, and one grandson; James Humphreys of Newport. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
