Russell W. Jones, 52, of Little Rock on Friday, February 3, 2017, Angels descended from heaven to St. Vincent Infirmary ICU to take Russell home to be with his family and friends in Heaven. His trusted friend, Brother Gordon M. Honda was at his side. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Langley and caregiver, Cindy Vaughan. Survivors, daughter, Heather Mendez and grandson, Erick "Joey" Mendez both of San Antonio, Texas, sisters, Tweela Morton of Oklahoma and Lavada Joe Burks of Fort Smith. A Graveside Memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery. Brother Gordon Honda will officiate. Russell's words were, "I've left life's journey and finally made it home to be with my Heavenly Father. There were times we laughed, we cried, and experienced God's love on Earth. But weep no more, I now rest in the Arms of Jesus and am walking down the streets of Gold. Our time in life is precious, just know that I am now happy, safe, and whole.
