Billy E. Ashcraft

Billy E. Ashcraft, age 86, of White Hall passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born December 5, 1930 in DeWitt, the son of the late William Kirby Ashcraft and Ara Lorain Fikes Ashcraft. Mr. Ashcraft enjoyed fishing, camping, and drinking coffee at Sandy Acres with his buddies. Also, he loved gospel singing, watching westerns, and watching the Cowboys and Razorbacks play football. Mr. Ashcraft is preceded in death by his parents and his son, William Eugene Ashcraft. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Jimmie Craig Ashcraft of White Hall; son, John R. Ashcraft and wife, Merrill of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughters, Sherri Speiden and husband, Doug of Sherwood, Wanda Harvill of Daphne, Alabama, and Dixie Young and husband, Phillip of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; brother, Bobby Ashcraft of DeWitt; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Interment will follow at Hardin Cemetery in the Hardin Community on Hardin Reed Road. Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Doug Speiden, Phillip Young, Billy Ray Ashcraft, and Kyle Young.
