John Edward Lock Sr., 85, of Little Rock, died February 26, 2017. Born March 22, 1931 in Little Rock, he was the son of Peter Louis and Brigetta Fisher Lock. A graduate of Little Rock Tech High, he also graduated from SMU School of Banking and was a longtime employee of Worthen Bank and retired from Arkansas Bankers Bank. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at Helping Hand. He was an active duck and deer hunter, member of Cypress Creek Hunting Club, Three Rivers Hunting Club, and an avid motorcycle rider. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce Delenne Boyette Lock; son, John Edward Lock, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Hall; two brothers and one sister. Survivors are his daughter, Tonya Redd (Gary) of Heber Springs; son-in-law, Gary Hall of Little Rock; grandchildren, Hunter Hall of Little Rock and Catherine Redd of Heber Springs; and special friend, Mary Hoffman of Little Rock. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church, 1003 N. Tyler St., Little Rock 72205 with Father John Marconi, celebrant. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 noon until Mass time at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.
