Constance Elaine Goss passed away on December 16, 2016 at her home in Clayton, Missouri, following a battle with cancer. She leaves behind her beloved partner of many years, David Blasingame, and her cherished children Anna and David Goss. Connie was the daughter of Elaine Lusk Goss and the late Paul Goss of North Little Rock, and the sister of the late Carolyn Goss (Jerry Dobson) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rachel Goss (Jack Holm), of San Jose, California, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Connie was born and raised in North Little Rock and went to First United Methodist Church with her family. She attended Lakewood Elementary and Ridge Road Junior High Schools and was a 1968 graduate of North Little Rock High School. As a girl she enjoyed competitive swimming for the Little Rock YWCA and serving on the NLR High School Wildcat drill team. Connie attended Tulane University in New Orleans before transferring to Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated with a degree in Political Science. She earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Missouri at St. Louis and taught for 35 years at Lindbergh High School. After retiring from teaching Connie returned to school and became a certified Master Gardener. She volunteered her gardening talent for the Missouri Botanical Garden, the First Unitarian Church and Gateway Greening. Connie taught Sunday school for many years at the First Unitarian Church of St. Louis. Connie appreciated spending time with her family and friends and traveling. She loved dogs and horses and was an avid reader. Connie was a wonderful partner, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her cheerful smile and good company will be missed but we are comforted in the knowledge that she is in a better place. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 21st at 3 p.m. at Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri, with Rabbi Susan Talve officiating. A reception followed at the First Unitarian Church of St. Louis. Memorial Contributions may be made in Connie's honor to Gateway Greening, www.gatewaygreening.org/donate.
