William Howard Logan, age 99, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was born on August 8, 1917 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William and Maudie Hollman Logan. He was a retired machinist for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Howard was a man of God who loved reading and studying the Bible. He was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Howard was an active man all of his life who loved to travel and enjoyed bowling. He was a fantastic gardener who was able to create great things in a small space. Howard was most importantly a wonderful father who loved his children greatly. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Cheshier Logan; two sisters, Irene and Mildred; and his first wife, Lucy Frances Huff Logan He is survived by two sons, Ronald Cheshier (Liz), of White Hall and Kenneth Cheshier (Mevelyn), of Redfield; two daughters, Wanda Knudson (Frank), of Redfield and Carolyn Banks (Ted), of North Little Rock; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 20 at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock with burial to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, January 19 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. (501-791-7400).
