Geraldine Garner Albaugh was born January 23, 1922 in Collin County, Texas to Fred Garner and Nevada Sprinkle Garner. She married Donald Franklin Albaugh Sr. on November 23, 1944 in Washington, D.C.. She died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Vincent North in Sherwood, Arkansas at the age of 94. She was a resident of Cabot, Arkansas. Geraldine was a 1938 graduate of Whitewright High School. In 1941 she left and went to Washington DC to work for the FBI where she met her husband of 67 years. She was a life long and faithful member of the Church of Christ. She served her church as a Sunday School Teacher and preparing the Sunday Bulletin for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to watch her birds. She was greatly loved and will be missed. She is survived by son, Donald Albaugh, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Renton, Washington; daughter, Maureen Mabe and husband John of Sherwood, Arkansas; granddaughter, Sandie Lynn Albaugh Hatcher of Isanti, Minnesota; granddaughter, Emma Dawn Albaugh of Renton, Washington; great-grandchildren, Britt Allen Hatcher, Kristine Hatcher, Kayela Hatcher; great-great-grandchildren, Hailey, Dakota and Rylee Elizabeth; nieces, Donna Dockery and Leslie Thomas; She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Albaugh; sister, Paula Collins; brother, Freddie Ray Garner; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Hatcher. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m, Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Whitewright Church of Christ, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Frazier Conley. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be Frank Dockery, Eric Dockery, Dale Thomas, John Mabe, Britt Hatcher, and Christopher Albright. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright. Memorials may be made to the Whitewright Church of Christ or to the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, Sherwood, Arkansas.
